HOLISTIC PHYSIOTHERAPY

And how it differs from traditional Physio

Pain is complex, and humans are complex. I understand that there is so much more to pain & dysfunction than the injury or illness itself, and complex presentations require a comprehensive and integrated approach.

Holistic Physiotherapy utilises an evidence-based and holistic approach to pain and illness in order to restore balance to the body & it’s systems. This can include an assessment of internal and external stressors in your life, physical activity levels (conditioning), sleeping habits, work and social demands, and nervous system drivers that could be contributing to your injury, illness & dysfunction.

ABOUT ME

I am a qualified Physiotherapist and Women’s Health Educator with a special interest in trauma-informed Women’s Health & Chronic Pain. In addition to holding a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy, I have also completed further studies in Women’s Health, Pain science & Therapeutic Neuroscience Education. I am also a passionate Clinical Pilates instructor and regularly utilise exercise-based rehabilitation in my approach.

Having been through my own injury & chronic pain journey, I recognise that in order to treat persistent pain & dysfunction, you need to treat the person as a whole. This understanding led me to also complete further training as a mindset coach, which I utilise to assist my clients in not only achieving their goals, but learning to trust their bodies again.

If you're looking for a different approach to treating pain & chronic illness, you can find me at Zebras Australia in Richmond. I am available for both face to face and online consults. Get in touch with me if you'd like to know more about how I can help you, or if you'd like to book in to see me please contact the Zebras Australia team.
